Sakana—The Portfolio of Brian Zick

Greetings, my name is Brian. I make designs for paper and websites. I also draw from time to time; there's some of that here too. Feel free to look around.

“Sakana” means “fish” in Japanese. The reason this site is called Sakana is because I think fish are cool, and it's catchier in Japanese.

Table of Contents

Design
Building Together An invitation for Sierra Vista Area Habitat for Humanity's 2008 banquet.
Zick's Web Ventures Trekking through the cyber wilderness, against all odds, and still online! This is one family you don't want to mess with. Well, unless you want some image hosting.
Illustration &c.
Marker Drawings Some of my marker drawings that aren’t uncommonly embarrassing.
Jerry’s Adventure Hey kids, this is the next action packed adventure game from the Japanese folks at Nintendo!
Pixel Dump Here at Pixel Dump, we strive to give a home to homeless pixel art, giving each piece a name and description.
Space Jellyfish From the depths of the the ocean comes something from Outer Space so sinister that even a videogame can't detain it, so we used a jpeg.
Writing
Battle of Hurushini A startling third-party account based on extremely conflicting eye-wittness stories of an event so shocking, even experts will deny it took place.
O-George-Sama A kind of nostalgic story for me. I wrote it before most of my online-friends deserted me. Friends that you know physically are generally more faithful, I've noticed.
Painfully Short Stories These stories are so short they’ll make your eyeballs fall out and and your brain ooze from your ears.
